Honesty & Integrity

I took a cab to the lrt station, and the uncle cab, indian uncle did not have RM50 change. I told him to wait for me while I went to the station to make some loose change.

There was some queue at the station, by the time I went down the stairs, I saw the cab abt to move. Perhaps the uncle cab thought that this chinese girl going to cheat the RM5 taxi fare. I quickly ran down the stairs and waved at him. He stopped the cab.

Panting, I open the door, apologized and thanked him. I can see a satisfied smile on his face, sending me the message that he was glad that I don't cheat him. Thinking over the whole incident, yeah, I can easily just walk in the station and board the lrt, and forget about the poor uncle, but this is all about honesty and integrity.

Will we as parents want our kids to be honest and live with integrity? Definite yes! I pledge to set a good example for my children and things that I wouldn't want them to do, I must set a good example myself. Well, easier said than done, to be able to do that require a lot of conscious energy, which most the times, I act subconsciously too.

IP MAN 2 - good message

Sky and I watched IP MAN 2 recently. Beside being a good chinese kungfu show, starring Donnie Yen and Sammo Hung, it tells a good message in one of the scene.

Ip Man says "No matter what status we are at, treat each other with dignity and respect". This is one piece of important message that I wld like Elly and Emmy remember, from now till they grow old.

Especially in multi racial community in Malaysia, it is important to understand each other and embrace our difference.

Petrosains, KLCC

Brought Elly and Emmy to Petrosains, KLCC last weekend. The entrance for adult is RM12 for adult, and free for kids below 5 years old.

Another good news is that family package of 2 adults and 2 kids is RM24. This means that we can still go to Petrosains when Elly and Emmy grows older, without additional charges. Wink wink ^^

We spent a total of 4 hours in Petrosains, for the girls to explore the various activities. We even had a special car ride, helicopter simulation and 3D short movie on Dinosaurs.

Sunday Evening at home sweet home

Elly and Emmy spending Sunday evening at home, watching cartoons and workout on Jumbo activity books. Elly is picking up fast on Mandarin.

I still remembered nine months ago, Elly did not know how to speak Mandarin. Thanks to a change of babysitter, she had no choice but to learnt up Mandarin fast.

Direct opposite, Emmy converse mostly in Mandarin although she understand when we speak English with her. When ask her to speak English, cunningly she will say 'A B C D E F ...'

Funny thing is Elly is speaking learning Spanish for the past few days. For the few times I caught her speaking to herself and asked her, she replied me that she is learning Spanish. Wonder where she is learning Spanish, or she simply said.... Hmm...

California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) Activity Sheet for Kids

CPK really takes care of the kids. The activity sheet for kids really made Elly and Emmy sat quietly and workout on the sheet while waiting for food to arrive.

By connecting the dots, Elly found out that it was a bunny that she was tracing.

Yummylicious Haagen Dazs ice cream

Thanks to kei-yeh for treating Emmy and Elly yummylicious Haagen Dazs fruity ice cream.

Emmy loves the mangoes flavor and Elly loves the strawberries flavor.

After the treat, we went to Pets Wonderland to check out on some pets. The girls enjoyed the visit to the pets shop, learnt about various types of pets; dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, spiders, birds and fishes.

Thanks again, kei-yeh for spending precious time with us. And got the girls to promise kei-yeh to eat more vegetables. They just don't fancy vegetables. Any idea?

Emmy's New Hair Cut

Having try to keep Emmy's hair long, but this lil girl doesn't like to tie her hair. And the local weather here is hot recently.

This morning, using a pair of scissors and my wooden comb, I cut her hair short, just like her sister, EllyM
